Solid Waste Supervisor

Montgomery Regional Solid Waste Authority (MRSWA) is accepting applications for a Solid Waste Supervisor. This position will supervise all facets within the solid waste department, including the transfer station, mulch operation, closed landfill and pretreatment facility. The position requires skills in: budgeting, time management, safety management, supervision, and organizing solid waste services and personnel. This is a working supervisor position. The individual must be a hard worker and willing to work daily in teamwork setting. Duties include: routine heavy lifting (>50 lbs), safely operating equipment such as a yard jock, front loader, skid steer, excavator, and roll off truck, required production paperwork, development and implementation of required procedures. Starting salary range is 37,400 to $45,000, based upon experience. The Authority offers an excellent benefit package including paid employee health and dental insurance, Virginia Retirement System, an employer matched 401A plan and long term disability. Hours of operation are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, M-F and every other Saturday 8:00 am until 12:30 pm. Overtime is required.
